What a Difference a Week Makes!

Last Wednesday I took this photo because it was the first time I'd noticed one of the sunflowers had burst open...
...this is the same group today, exactly a week later!
I'm noticing a difference in your handwriting this week too! You are working hard to have even, tidy letters.
I hope you are finding it easier to hear those short vowel sounds. Isn't it crazy that sometimes a word can have a short vowel sound - but not have that vowel in it? The word said has the short e sound - but no e. That's the crazy English language for you!

Happy Birthday (Plus 2 Months) Harvey

We hope you had a hipping, hopping, happy birthday in January, Harvey.
We love your dance moves!

Happy Birthday Nate - sorry it's late!

The birthday cake Minions are running late this year.
We enjoyed spending your 7th birthday with you in February!
We hope you have a grand time being 7!

Letter Formation

These photos aren't the best, but they do give the idea of the way letters are supposed to look.
There are two main things to remember:
  1. NO letters start at the bottom.
  2. A letter is either tall or short or a bit of both (like a little h).
