Dear Spring... Part 2

Dear Spring

Oh dear Spring, I wish you will turn this sad place to a happy place. On the blog our front cover is about you, so can you turn the sad face to the happy face please? I think of you being sunny but you are rainy. I wish Will's old man doesn’t get hit again.

From William F.

Dear Spring

I think of you as cold and sometimes warm. You spring me up and I love how you let the baby animals come out and play. Did you know that my birthday is in spring? That is another reason why I like Spring.

Lots of love,
Millie

Dear Spring

Hello there. Thanks for coming but I really wanted sun, not rain! Anyway, thanks to you Christchurch looks like a painted picture. You’re right, Spring is kind of on and off with rain. Just try to keep it warm though, I’d really appreciate that!

See you next time xxxooo,
Olivia

Dear Spring

I thought that you would open my heart on Tuesday. But when I open my curtains it was raining, and the old man was snoring. My family loves Spring because my sister’s, my Dad’s, and my Mum’s birthdays are in Spring.

From Will C.

Dear Spring

Hello Spring, my name is Ava. I wish you could be here all year, but no, there is rain not sun. You can do better please. Anyway thanks for coming, you’re right, Spring is a rainy season. The city is a lovely work of art in Spring. The daffodils at my house are coming out and I love it.

Love from,
Ava xo

Dear Spring

Spring you are my favourite season of the year. Where are you? It feels like it is still Winter. It is freezing down where we are, but the good news is you brought out my two favourite flowers, which are blossom and daisies. Me and my friends are helping you look after nature. I hope you will be back soon.

Our Soldier

This is the cross that we will present on Friday at the ANZAC service. We know that Sergeant Cox died in action on the 4th of October in 1917. Can you find out any more about him tonight?
You did beautiful singing of Pack Up Your Troubles today, keep up the great practice!
Thanks to William who brought along a photo of his great grandfather whose middle name was Anzac. We also enjoyed hearing the story of Will's great grandfather who fought at Gallipoli and survived.
It was sad to discover that two of Matilda's ancestors, Rollo and George died in WWI.
Leticia's nan has made a very interesting scrapbook about her family's war stories. We are looking forward to spending some time exploring that tomorrow.

Peter Pan Fans

Thanks to so many families for taking the time to go to this great show. Next time we see Peter Pan will be at St Albans School. I hope you're thinking of some interesting questions to ask Ben about his experience and how he got there.
