More Good News

Thank goodness the amount of litter is decreasing because it means the amount of time we need to be out in the freezing cold air to collect it is also decreasing!

Rising to the Challenge!

Tau ke St Albans School!
Can you believe how much less rubbish there was yesterday than Monday?
We were delighted.
This is what we found in the areas just beyond our school fence.
The rubbish collectors had to employ Bear Grylls type skills to retrieve  what was out there.
We're pretty certain the cushion and the barbecue are not ours!

Mufti Day for Vanuatu

Cyclone Pam has caused a lot of damage and despair this week. At St Albans we decided we wanted to do something to help the people of Vanuatu recover. The School Council organised a mufti day and if you wanted to participate you brought along at least a gold coin donation.
This is the money Room 17 collected. It was $64.60.
Some children in Room 17 donated their own pocket money to help the people in Vanuatu. We are looking forward to finding out how much money the whole school managed to collect.
(I can't believe we forgot to get a photo of you all looking so fine in your glad rags!)
